Rosneft says not asking for exclusive tax benefits for gas proj

MOSCOW, May 12 (PRIME) -- Russian oil major Rosneft is not asking for exclusive tax preferences, it is talking about equal conditions for the extraction of hard-to-recover gas reserves for all market participants, a spokesperson for the company told reporters on Tuesday.

“We are not talking about any exclusive benefits for the company, but only about equal conditions for the extraction of hard-to-recover gas reserves for all market participants,” the spokesperson said.

RBC Daily reported that Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin asked Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin to provide the company with tax benefits for hard-to-recover gas deposits of the Berezovskaya Formation in West Siberia.
